King Hussein Cancer Center (KHCC)

General information:

 

This Center is the first and only Pediatric Hematology /Oncology training in Jordan.

 

It introduces the opportunity for young Pediatricians from Jordan and neighboring counties to specialize in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology.

 

The program is a three-year fellowship. It offers certification in the sub-specialty of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology upon successful completion of the certification examination given by the Hematology/oncology committee at the Jordan Medical Council.

 

The intent of this training program to develop physicians clinically competent in the field of Pediatric Hematology/oncology with enough knowledge. Fellows will learn the skills of history taking, physical exam, data interpretation, problem synthesis, and proper use of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.

Grants' options and details

 

POEM group provides grants for accepted applicants in the below programs:

 

  1. Short-term observership (3 to 6 weeks)
  2. Short-term training (6 weeks to 6 months). Note: a strong justification detailing the reason and need for this training is required. In addition to that, the trainee must be involved with on-hand work and not only observership.
  3. Long-term training (fellowship).
